چکیده
Nowadays, scientists and researchers working on polymer composites are paying much attention to the discovery of prospective plant fibers in order build a promising fiber-reinforced composite. The present study investigated efficacy using novel Furcraea selloa K. Koch peduncle fiber reinforced composites, specific composite characterization was done explore absolute length weight ratio accomplish superior properties. For that, with different length-to-weight ratios were unsaturated polyester corresponding tested decide optimum for obtaining utmost results indicated that highest mechanical properties allied 30 mm wt.% tensile strength 103.51 MPa flexural 144.65 MPa. While remaining volumes showed decreased as compared optimal, which might be due debonding effects or less interfacial bonding examined clearly SEM images fractured samples. Enhanced thermal stability 390°C relatively reduced water absorption rate observed case optimal range when other testing dimensions. Moreover, current confirmed FSPF possess comparable would good alternative existing synthetic composites.

Cellulosic bers have been used as cost-cutting llers in plastic industry. Among the various factors, the nal performance of the composite materials depends to a large extent on the adhesion between the polymer matrix and the reinforcement and therefore on the quality of the interface. To achieve optimum performance of the end product, suf cient interaction between the matrix resin and th...
متن کاملCharacterization of fiber distribution in steel fiber reinforced cementitious composites with low water-binder ratio
Image analysis technique is introduced to characterize fiber distribution in steel fiber reinforced cementitious composites. Through cutting and polishing of specimen, image acquisition of specimen surface, extraction of fiber feature, and measurement of related fiber parameters, i.e., dispersion coefficient and orientation factor, are given to quantitatively analyze fiber distribution. Effects...
متن کاملDiscontinuous fiber-reinforced composites above critical length.
Micromechanical physics of critical fiber length, describing a minimum filament distance for resin impregnation and stress transfer, has not yet been applied in dental science. As a test of the hypothesis that 9-micron-diameter, 3-mm-long quartz fibers would increase mechanical strength over particulate-filled composites, photocure-resin-pre-impregnated discontinuous reinforcement was incorpora...

Consolidated-drained triaxial compression tests were conducted to compare the stress-strain and volume change response of sands and clayey sands reinforced with discrete randomly distributed poly-propylene fibers. The influence of various test parameters such as fiber content (0.0%, 0.5% and 1.0% by weight), clay content (0%, 10% and 20% by weight), relative density (50% and 90%) and confining ...
